Chalford Baptist Church is a small, growing and lively congregation. At the heart of our church lies a desire to 'know Jesus ... and make Him known'. Our Sunday morning service attracts people of all ages and our worship has a lively, contemporary feel. Children meet in their own groups during the service where we try to provide them with a lively, entertaining and informative session focusing on biblical teaching. A crèche facility is also available. We also have a family service on the third Sunday of the month which is ideal for those who are new to church or who wish to worship together with their children. We serve our local community through schools work, holiday clubs, parenting courses and have vibrant links with other local congregations with whom we share our call to be missionary people. |

We believe that God is as real today ever. Around 2000 years ago he spectacularly showed his love to humankind when he sent his son Jesus into the world to live and to die for us. The Bible says, “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” We aim to do that every Sunday morning at 10:00am. Sometimes with upbeat celebratory worship and sometimes in quiet reflection and thankfulness for God’s continuing involvement in our lives. We believe that the Bible is God’s relevant Word to us today. So what we teach and how we aim to live centres around that. We try to hold the Bible in one hand and today's newspaper in the other, and to make the link between God's truth, with doesn't change, and our constantly-changing world with all its dilemmas. Preaching at MBC is always Biblical, thought-provoking, memorable and life-related. Clear here to listen. The Bible teaches that God is gracious and giving, full of love and truth. Joy and laughter are God’s gifts to us. At MBC we try to reflect this. We truly see God changing people’s lives, bringing wholeness and hope, restoring joy and peace, providing focus and purpose. Our Sunday services are relayed by video to “Café Church” where there is a more relaxed and informal atmosphere. Here you can follow the service on the big screen while enjoying a cup of coffee and a croissant! |
